Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
Hoare Lea Lighting offers a range of information that comments on lighting at night. This can be submitted as part of an overall Environmental Impact Assessment. Undertaking a detailed lighting survey of existing site conditions allows a mitigation framework to be established. It also provides guidance on the general light pollution reduction principles that would be followed in a new lighting design approach for the site.
Illumination Impact Profile (IIP)
With the passing into law of the 2005 Clean Neighbourhood and Environmental Act, the impact of lighting has become a major issue for new projects.
The Illumination Impact Profile conveys, in writing and visually, how the proposed building will fit into the existing illumination profile of an area.
It demonstrates how the lighting design approach complies with relevant legislation and best practice design guidance.
